We started day two of exploring a bit late as we had a bit of Lay in 🙈 ( I know but hey what are holidays for, right? ). We were quite tired from yesterday after a full day of walking and exploring the city therefore wanted to take it slight slow and have a chilled day.
On day two we wandered around the old town of Nice also known as Vieux Nice by the locals. We loved walking through the narrow alleways admiring the beautiful buildings and enjoying the Mediterranean vibe here. Fact: I am a sucker for narrow alleways. I could literally spend all day getting lost there and just being ‘WOW’ at every corner lol. ( comment ⬇️ if anyone’s like me 🙌🏼). We wanted to visit the famous market “Marche aux Fleurs Cours Saleya ” which is known for the picturesque flower markets. However, we were slightly late and could only find the vintage flea market( sad I know 😔). Old town had lots of traditional restaurants ideal for drinks and food and seemed to be buzzing all day and night.
We then headed towards the Castle Hill also known as Colline du Chateau by the French. It was a series of steps which took about 15-20 minutes walk through a winding road to reach the top of the hill. However, it was a very enjoyable walk and there were lots of view point on the way where you can see an amazing panaromic view of the Promenade and the whole of Nice town. When we reached the top , we were blown away by the view. It was just like what I have seen on the postcards.
On the other side of the park as you walk up, reaveled incredible views of the Port of Nice and again this did not fail to amaze us. We were blown away from the beauty Nice has on offer.
Overall, day two was very relaxed and filled with absorbing the stunning panaromic view of Nice from various angle. We are amazed by the beauty this city has on offer.
